Have you been wondering about your life lately? How you have spent your time so far on this planet? How you would like to spend the rest of your time? Have you wondered if there is a larger purpose inside your heart and felt that there is more to you than what you have expressed so far, but you are not quite sure what it is you might wish to express? Or have you been so caught up in the busy-ness of life that you find yourself too tired to even go there with those questions?
One of the best ways I know to connect with the heart and our own unique essence, is through the experience of Reiki – that is the actual practise of Reiki whether that be on the self and/or others. Reiki can teach us things about ourself that we might never have imagined and it can open doors previously closed to us. Those doors can be insights about our health, our life, our purpose, our work, and can also provide inspiration if we wish to practise Reiki or simply use it as a personal tool for life, giving us access to more effortless living, more on purpose living, more direction in life.
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a healing tool – an energy – which we all have – we just need to recognise and focus it, and then we can use this healing energy for ourselves, friends, family, anyone, even our pets – we can even transmit it through our mind and heart over distance, for people and also for our planet Earth. The word Reiki is comprised of two Japanese characters, Rei and Ki meaning Universal Life Force Energy. This life energy of the Universe permeates everything within the Universe. It is this energy within us that gives us the ability to live our lives with strength, purpose, and the natural ability to heal. Other cultures have their names for it, ie, prana, chi, ki, vitality, aura, magnetism.
It was back in the 1900’s, that a Japanese Monk and Educator named Mikao Usui (1865-1926) developed a system of harnessing this energy and focusing its power to make it a practical healing tool and named it Rei Ki. Since then it has been used successfully throughout the world, in fact in some places a component of Reiki is included for study by medical students and an increasing number of nurses are now using it in hospitals. I call it the Human Touch of Love for which there can be no substitute but the human hands. We transmit this love energy through our hands many times during our day without even knowing it. With Reiki we are doing it consciously.
There are three levels to Reiki – Reiki I, Reiki II and Reiki III – each level progresses the student further, with Reiki III being the Master/Teacher level. There is no obligation or pressure to go further than Reiki I, it is an individual experience and as such the student will be drawn to whatever is timely for them. Each level however, is a separate workshop.
What you can expect from a workshop
At the end of a Reiki workshop participants will be issued with a practitioner Certificate which will enable them to practise Reiki I as a business if they so wish. If you are interested in this life-changing experience then this is the workshop for you.
You will receive
• Folder of comprehensive notes which includes a Small Business component
• Some practical experience in giving and receiving a Reiki treatment
• Basic knowledge and understanding of chakras and how to balance them with a Reiki treatment
• Basic knowledge of energies and how to recognise your own and that of others, and an
understanding of how these energies work
• Attunement and initiation to Reiki I as well as the full history of Reiki
• Practitioner Certificate on completion of the day
• A rose quartz crystal
• Lunch, morning and afternoon refreshments
So if this speaks to you, I invite you to give me a call and organise to invest some time in this life-changing experience whether you decide to use it further, or simply experience it on the day – it will still be an impactful, life-changing experience.
